I have made templates for the windows glass, I make them of I think you call it plaster or drywall, we have a stronger version about a 1/4" thick, easy to form and strong enough. 20210719_101333.jpg 20210719_101348.jpg 20210719_102558.jpg 20210719_115705.jpg 20210720_131403.jpg 20210720_131543.jpg 20210725_122316.jpg

The last weeks I have been making interior panels, I make them from what we call masonite about 3mm thick. I have also filled the engine wtih oil and primered the oil system. Intalled the distributor and made the spark plug wires. 20210805_114722.jpg 20210807_110515.jpg 20210810_115259.jpg 20210825_155428.jpg 20210825_155450.jpg

I have been working on the car for the last weeks but a little bit slow, to much else to do but some parts have been done to the interior. Have also made a rubber cover where the hoodsides will rest when the hood is opened. 20210912_090959.jpg 20210912_091021.jpg 20210912_134208.jpg 20211010_141443.jpg

what you have been using looks like what we call mdf. Different names for the same product in different countries.
Drywall, I believe is the same as what we call Gib board, which is half an inch of (gypsum) plaster with a sheet of paper on each side….

My window templates are not made of mdf. They are made of what you call Gib board they are normally just under half an inch thick but we also have a quarter of an inch thick version that is stronger and you can bend it a little thats the one I have usel.

I have cut the AC and heater hoses and test fitted them and checked how to route them inside the car.
The interior is slowly coming on I have covered the first panel with leather, the color is called Roasted Red Pepper its a little bit darker than it looks on the pic. 20211012_112341.jpg 20211013_105836.jpg 20211013_105842.jpg 20211013_110301.jpg 20211016_103240.jpg 20211018_123631.jpg

I have found a new lower radiator hose from my local Cadillac parts dealer. Its for a 1961 Caddy it fits really good part no Gates 20516 if anyone would like to know. Had to make a small notch in my Hurst engine mount. Have also fitted my new hornbutton.

  14. Thanks for the part number; that always helps. Looks like it will work good with side mounts on engine.
