    I'm definitely going again...my hotel is already booked. Stop in and say hello again (anybody else who's there out of this group too). Always fun to B.S. and the cooler will be full. We tried some new rear gears last year and the old heap is running a little faster now.

    Since you're using the movie Hot Rod as inspiration here's another bit of trivia to tie in with the name. That movie is also known as Rebel Of The Road.

    Great project, I'll be watching the updates.

    Can't wait to see it run, Don. Next time you're out there working on it, check the glove box for a bottle opener. Heh,heh.

    I'm betting you got the clip doors,rear fenders and deck lid from Canfield??

    They came from a steel bodied gasser out of Pittsburgh that was built into a street rod, which ultimatly ended up featured in Hot Rod....I know all this cause I not only built the car, but was the one who sold you the parts:D

    small world, Huh?:) :)

    Yea I know this is an old thread but didn't know where to put this one just for Don. I thought there was a thread about the car but can't find it.

    Hey, Don;
    I get the junkyard parts vibe, but considering it's connection(s) w/AMC heritage + that Rebel mill, I was kinda hoping to see it in the same(or similar, maybe tribute-styled) red/white/blue color scheme as the Rebel flopper. Sorta like a kissin' cousin or maybe 1st gen stripper just prior to the flopper. Also like that you're running that blown amc. Did you ever put up any build/maintenance/repair(?)details about it? TIA.
    Marcus...

    I bought a shirt! Now pretty toasty from welding. Got to watch this car and some other folks who made the long pull from the East coast, Southeast, and the Midwest to Bakersfield 2016. Put on a heck of a show.
