Technical 56 Desoto 330 starter

    Any Mopar guys know what starters will interchange on this motor? It's a two bolt starter plate with the holes located directly opposite of each other.

    Did anyone ever give you an answer for this? I am starting on a 291 going into a 40 Desoto. I would be interested in learning what you did to your engine as my knowledge on beefing or building these up is about as much as my knowledge on computers: Nothing!     Take a look at the date of his post, June 7, 2014 then on his profile page
    txturbo was last seen: Jul 6, 2019 He hasn't been logged in on the board in almost three years.

    I'm not sure my Hollander goes back that far.

    I sold a starter that fits a '55 or '56 331 HEMI some time ago.
    Here's a few pix of it. Maybe the same one will work for the '56 DeSoto.

    For my Desoto 330 on my current PU build I bought a Powermaster from Hot Heads. Fits and works perfectly. If its a Hemi, they got what you need.
