We always have car pics. I’ve seen trunk pics; never any finished motor swap pics. I’d like to see how all your swaps look after there finished

Mine isn't as nice looking as the first two. Also looks like I need to find one of those finned air cleaners

Mine was taken when the build was brand new with no miles. Doesn’t look the same now. Yours just looks more driven.

I’ll post mine after I get it swapped. Swapping from a 292 to a 312 soon and figure I will clean things up a bit during the swap. Motor has never been out of my car, so it is a little oily...

Actually, I see that as a complement, our wagon has been on the road for 10 a little over 9 years and we have added just over 23,000 miles and visited 12 states, during the winter months I give the car a good cleaning, inside & out and under the hood. HRP

Maybe not what some consider a swap, but it is for me. Swapping a worn out 292 for a less worn out 312, right? :D

I can’t imagine having anything other than a y-block in this car. @56longroof understands. :D

Haven't had a chance to get on that project yet. The Unibody got sidelined by a '76 F100 I picked up this summer.

haha, no, just not as pretty and neat as the others shown....more utilitarian..............and now lots of road grime. Just no way to keep these functioning as designed and neat and tidy at the same time. One thing I did do to clean things up a little was to convert it from coil packs (4 coils total) w/ spark plug wires to the coil-on-plugs that they ran in later years. It's just an appearance upgrade, not performance, as the conversion was just done in the wiring, so the computer/ ignition control module is still just sending out 4 signals rather than the 8 sent out in a true COP.

Ford performance sells a “kit” with a Coyote style and 6 speed auto with all the connection ECU’s like the LS guys get but they are a pretty wide engine. The 4.6 module engine was used in 100,000’s factory installations but are also wide. It’s tough for me to look any engine covered in plastic but I’m glad to see Ford guys up grading.

There are no plastic major components on my 4.6. I honestly thought the intake was, but it's aluminum. Of course the air intake plenum is. I originally was going to make a SS intake, may someday.
