It just part of the ambience of go fast...the noise resonating in the ole Jalopy is around 90-100db at speed and I believe that to be largely exhaust and wind and some squeaks and rattles...I do wear earplugs and am still looking at toning it down to 85db or a little less if I can...

Pull the larger panels off and add some self stick sound deadener to the back side, reinstall the panels. Kind of defeats the purpose of the light weight aluminum panels, but will sure cut down on the noise a bunch. Probably won't need to cover the entire panel back, covering about the center 1/4 would be a huge improvement, the idea is to reduce the vibration of the aluminum panel.

The procar rally seats have been in the car for over six years and lots of miles...they look great and i find them comfortable on long trips

Gene the suggestion of deadener on the inside door panels is a good one, this Hotrod by design is not about comfort at all true to the many times mentioned purpose built but Ryan mentioned it a couple weeks ago that most of us aren't actually racing for pinks so the weight gain wouldn't trouble me at all and the ole smallblock has plenty of power that I wouldn't notice a damn thing...

I have applied some deadener on the bulkhead behind the seat and the floor, am on my second set of mufflers (sound related) with added baffles trying to get a more p***ive note while retaining a rumble one would expect from such an example and actually it's way quieter than it was when I bought it. It had cherry bombs and rattled my brains loose almost making you sick it was so loud...

Although I like the pipes exiting just aft of the rear end on a 45 degree angle towards the ground, rerouting them to the end of the body would likely help as it's been suggested...many times here...

Last year I tightened up a few details and that nailed a significant amount of the rattling and squeaks but the things such as an Aluminum top with no sound deadener inside tin things up which if added would rob it of a visual appeal...

I don't really put huge miles on it as its luxury factor is limited and I often refer to the ride as like a wagon with and engine...:D
