Oh man, these are just too cool. I hope you have more, much much more!! Thank you for showing us. Doc
This will be the last for now - just a few left and some of them are from the stands so not a lot of detail of the cars The red 34 Coupe without any lettering was also a local Doylestown car, built by Frank Bash Sr. (I went to school with Frank Jr. and Jr,s son was a 'handyman' around my place when he was a teenager). The car was SBC powered, blown, and originally ran 'Fish' carburetors. Google 'Fish Carburetors' for their history - very interesting. In '62 I think they were still running a 39 Ford trans with Lincoln gears; they launched it in 2nd gear. In 63 the car was bright yellow and lettered with 'BASH' on the doors and the trans was a Hydro
Thanks to all for the comments - trust me when I say I enjoyed seeing them myself. Now for some sad news - I have, somewhere, close to 100 pics of my own from 62 AND I CAN'T FIND THEM!!!! I've got several thousand pictures in boxes all over the house and have been looking for them for the last couple of years............... And BTW - I'm happy that I could 'give back' to the forum
The Twin Chevy is the DragMaster Two Thing driven by Dode Martin, the other half of the DragMaster team is Jim Nelson Lee...
The Dragster is Ernie's Camera, driven by Bill Alexander, The Dragster is powered by a blown Pontiac. This car has been repopped and is currently at the NHRA Museum in Pomona CA. The car was painted Red and ran Fuel, Bill crashed the car and totaled it and was almost killed in the incident
Thanks Dave...........made my weekend bro........great pictures and here's hopeing you find that other box of photo's so we can see more!!!
