Hey how’s it going. I’ve been keeping up with a lot of builds on this site for years just have never posted. I recently purchased a bantam altered a few of you may have seen before called the nitro *****er. I was able to track down the name of who I believe was the original owner, builder but hitting a little bit of a dead end. The car was raced throughout norther California and originally lettered 12 A/A Weber-algon. Curious if anyone remembers this altered when it was running a v8 or has any more information. Thanks Brent
The photos of it with nitro *****er on it. it’s running a sbc cut in half. I think I’m going to have a injected sbc built and put it back to how it originally was.
After you get it running, is the plan to show it, or ? Since you mentioned Northern Ca, would you be taking it to Eagle Fields?
I’m not sure what the plan is yet. It will definitely be brought out to show at some point- possibly ran.
I have not posted for a long time, if I ever did, so do not know how to add pictures. The picture of the roadster with a T body is when Jim Cate and Art Toy ran it in 1961. I do not know what other years they ran it, we raced them with our Forsberg Bros & Al Hubbard American Austin at Fremont May 13, 1961, in the A gas altered roadster cl***. Jim and Art where Stanford students at the time, I am not sure if they did the actual building, but fairly sure, they designed it. I have posted more about Jim & Art on 1320 and DRI I hope you are able to see the Geri Tarvin pic Denny Forsberg
