Well had a huge fire at my work. It took out everything.
It just goes to show, you can never be too careful.
it was a tragic loss due to a faulty furnace motor.

    Something to think about...storage insurance

    yeah it really ****s
insurance is covering pretty much everything..... thats good
but there was a lot of priceless stuff gone that insurance cant even take care of. every aluminum bodyied car that was in there are just bare frames now with puddles of aluminum around it on the ground. all the wood body frames and all the aluminium are no longer there. 16 rare and valuable british and north american cars burnt.
    depressing

Hopefully the owner of the shop was insured to cover his ****. The sad part is you may never be able to replace sentiment in some of the cars. That is truly a loss.

  26. Geez, what shame. Especially (to me) that Lagonda! Was that a late Bugatti in there too (Ghia bodied Chrysler)?

I hope everyone got out safe and that none of the firefighters were injured.
The cars can be replaced, life cannot.

That's a terrible sight. I'm really sorry for the loss.

Good luck in the cleanup and recovery with the insurance company. I hope it goes smoothly.

I just replaced a bad blower motor on my old 1950s furnace here at my house. Thankfully, the old one did it's job and kept tripping and resetting. But it's humbling to think of the possibility of disaster. [IMG]
