Going to race my 32 cabriolet flathead powered at temple-little river-academy. On the trailer Friday afternoon.100 miles from College Station,Texas.Flatheads Forever!!!
I ran 4 runs——all 4 runs were 10 mph slower than last year with a stronger car??? After driving home ,I figured it out—-last year ran shorter 26 in tall rear, this past weekend ran 28 in tall tires and a relatively new speedway 10 in clutch that slipped badly. Wouldn’t even “spin” the 28 tall tires with this Chinese clutch from speedway. Not even six months old——have never, ever fried a clutch like the speedway Chinese ****. Even ran 9 in clutch in my race Anglia with no slippage, now this clutch can’t even spin the 28 tall tires. Be careful what you buy——speedway stock has to be Chinese, didn’t last six months.
Congrats on making some some p***es - remember that it costs more $$ to go fast & do burn outs - have more event pics to share?
Lots of cars at drags—-these few caught my attention. Note —-55 Nomad has wheelie bars—pretty quick too!!
Had the same problem with a cheap pressure plate.replaced it with a centerforce 2 and can drop the clutch at 5 grand and no worries
