History Bob Burman & his "Blitzen Benz" ... PICS!!!

    I missed this thread on the first go round. The two photos are from a large June 7,1924 photo in Pottsville, Pa. a AAA event with a note on the back by Larry Beals who owned/raced #24. This was the 1908 Mercedes GP car that Spencer wisehart raced at INDY in 1911 and 1912. Larry installed the HISSO V8. The car looked very much like it did in the photo when it went back to Germany 10 or so years age to be "restored". Larry noted that car #6 had the radiator from the "Blitzen Benz", I wonder if this lated found its way to the Waterman collection? There is a HISSO V8 powered Isotta in the lineup as well. Some of the second life race cars in the 1920's were great looking machines. Bob:)

    Does anyone have dimensional drawings of the frame for a 1909 Blitzen-Benz?
