Technical Rear seat identification

Rear seat identification, Planning on using these rear seats in a rust rod and would like to know what year make and model they are. I know there are some junkyard dogs out there that know what these are. Thanks

 

Looks similar but not the same as the seat in an OT MGTD I used to own so maybe British but that's just a wild ass guess.

 

I have a TD right now, it's very vaguely like that, but very different in the details..

Looks to me like original 1970s upholstery on it. It's similar to a Mustang II in overall appearance, but again the details are different.

if you look for metal tags on the springs, you might or might not find a part number that might point you in the right corporate direction.

i have an 80 Camaro rear seat, looks very similar but mine doesn't have that indent on the bottoms

 

Also the notch in the center of the backrest is square in the mystery seat, it's round in most seats.

 

Its a rod that is rusty

 

Ask my ex, probably been in it.

If it is f body rear seat based, that could work well, should clear a trans tunnel just fine. Lots of seat cover options available.

Opens up options to use newer coupe / sports car based rear seats as hot rod seats.

Interested to see it mocked up.

Might be an H body? 1980 Monza. The seat bottoms have a notch in the outer rear corner, and it looks square over the tunnel.
