   ...A Hotrod that's had a pretty admirable past once Hamber @Harms Way's...

I will see if there's a revival Thread as it was sold and I believe resurrected as it's surely well deserved...anyone know where this is now, pretty elusive on the whereabouts...

...Only in Canada...:D...Honestly one of the oddest looking Hotrods I've seen in a while...Probably many only saw the back of it pulling away leaving them behind though...;)

This was a competitive offering back in the day by a Speed Shop 'Performance Improvements' in Ontario that just closed it's doors recently after many years delivering the goods...

    I will miss them...

I was showing this forum to an old time Hot Rodder from the forties and fifties. He was saying how hard it was back then because they didn't have a lot of money and usually had to build things from scratch, junk yard or Military surplus.

He was all over this forum and after an hour of looking at texts my battery was going dead, he was asking me how to go about getting one of these picture boxes lol.
He's from the southern section of West Virginia and talks with a Southern Draw. We often joke about him being on the southern side of the Mason / Dixon line and I'm on the wrong side lol. But according to him I'm still a good Ol 'boy. lol..

I certainly understand wasting away hours visiting the incredible archive of history within the Hamb, a great way to kill the ole battery sharing it with a veteran rodder...does he have any pics in his possession...fingers crossed?

I'm calling the front "fenders" on this thing "Fenderlets". I'm building a pair now for my Off Topic project. It's a look I love, and it's rarely seen. My buddy Chad stopped by to see what I was up to, and he likes the idea. Said, "Well, if you don't like 'em you can just take 'em off!" Barris had a set on the Chrisman coupe too. [IMG]

Is it in Eugene surrounded by good stuff?
You worked for Goodell's in Toledo? My dad drove for JL at times in the 70's.

In the aviation world the fairings around wheels are sometimes called spats.

Actually, the fairings around wheels/tires on aircraft were called 'Wheel Pants'. (Think of the red and white Granville Bros. "Gee Bees", R-1 and R-2.)
The ones they called 'spats' were around the 'ankle part' of the Oleo struts, and another had large fairings from the wing down to the fronts of the tires, (1933) these were coined "Wheel Trousers"!
    No kidding, look it up.
