There's a thriving community of people building scale models on Insta, and this guy is doing some of the nicest work I've seen - always inspired by his work. Check out the subtle detailing on that engine above to bring out the high points (the edges, the bolts) and the washes of thinned paint to exaggerate the low spots (the ribs on the trans and in the various recesses, all done to add realism This stuff is really an art-form all of it's own
I built plenty of model car kits in the 1950's ,and the 1960's, but nothing that I built was anywhere as nice as Martin builds. He is a master at what he does.
I build models as a hobby but no where near that nice. 3D printing has elevated the hobby to another level! The availability of buying resin detail parts and metal etched parts adds even more to the kits. I do some pretty fine detailing, but not on his level !!
Nice. Looks to have drawn heavy influence from @benniesrad coupe https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/my-1930-coupe-build.1038755/page-11
