Welcome to HAMB. I highly recommend that you scroll through and read threads in here. Posting photos helps. You may want to contact Keith Burgan (Rooman) on FB. He and his wife moved back to Australia. He is one of the best for parts and info over there.
Welcome to a fellow British Commonwealthian from Canada! This is a crazy good forum with tech info, historical info, rod run reports, and more...but my favourite part is the humour! Now as you know Oz is a wee bit big so what part are you in?
Welcome! Your truck and I are the same vintage. F1 parts are not too hard to find, although parts unique to the panel truck are harder to find. You've got a straight ladder type frame, so it's easy enough to adapt just about any drivetrain you want if you don't want to build and run the flathead. I sold Henrietta the '38 Ford pickup in my avatar picture, but Ozelle the '55 Ford sends a friendly horn honk.
Check out the Ford Barn as well. Quite a few members from down your way. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/
I tended bar with an aussie for a few years. Brett. Super cool guy. One day we were talking cars and stuff while we worked and all the sudden he started talking about Holly. He kept saying "me Holly, me Holly". I finally got absolutely confused and said Brett, wtf are you talking about, a girl? And he said no, me motorcycle. Me Holly Davidson... I said ahhhhhhhh! Lol. HARLEY! Welcome.
