Has anyone tried radiators sold by Speedway? Good, mediocre, bad, great? Looking to buy one for my ‘32 which will be running a mildly hopped up 8ba...

Three guys in my family bought radiators from Speedway on the day the internet broke down over the Walker factory closing. They bought all the 32 Walkers that Speedway had. We have great results with Walkers.

Probably not any more Walkers available through Speedway though. You might need to be a little more specific on what brand you are talking about now.

I bought an aluminum dual p*** radiator from them. So far it's working great. (I see like everything the price has gone up since I bought mine a few years ago).

Well, it actually says its made by Speedway Motors. I didn't know they made their own radiators now. Personally I've never been a fan of aluminum radiators, but if a guy has to because of price, that one isn't too expensive.

If it’s made by Speedway, it’s a pretty good bet that it’s made in China.

Yep, IMO it would be more honest to say 'made for Speedway', not by. They're like Sears used to be, they made nothing just sold contract merchandise.

Well I figured it was made for Speedway and in China, not that China has much to do with it as N American business’ choose to have stuff made thee to a price point. Any contrary to popular belief aluminium is a metal...LOL

JUst wondering if anyone had experience with this product. Good price but I prefer good quality. I have an original that could be repaired but it’s for a four banger was was advised not to use it.

I'm running this radiator in my roadster -
    4-1/2 Inch Chopped 1932 Lo-Boy Aluminum Radiator (speedwaymotors.com)

After a year or two of use, it started leaking at both lower corners where the core meets the lower tank. I had a local radiator shop fix it and it's been fine ever since. (they used some sort of flowable epoxy to fix it.)
It's been in the car 10 years total now, approx. 60k miles.

    As you were....

  16. The aluminum Speedway Radiators are what used to be AFCO. Speedway bought them out for their circle track line. When I built my T 15 years back AFCO was still independant and custom made radiators to order. Now, as @Ryan said, they are imported.

Interesting that the 9173426 radiator is marked down from $699 to $399, a savings of 44%. I guess the demand wasn’t there for an aluminum radiator for the flathead and they might be overstocked. That’s a great price.
I’ve used both Custom Auto Radiator as well as Walker in the past and prefer br*** but I must admit the 7193426 radiator does look very well built and true to form for a ‘32.
