April 24th 2022. Just got my new vendor spot application. 2021 and 2020 were cancelled. ITS ON !!!!! Gonna be a blow out show for sure this year. If you live within driving distance book a room for Sat.(so you can get there early) and put it on the calendar. It is hosted by the Early Ford V-8 Club of New England. And these guys are GREAT. This year they are combining airplanes with the show cars. The flea market is phenomenal and starts at 6:30 and pretty much over at 1:00. Best selection of Model A, Early Ford V8 and traditional hot-rod cars and parts on the East Coast. IMO.
Hershey is a good vacation but never really found a lot for the effort. At this show everything is here!
One day only deal. It's horse trading in high gear. Hope to see you there. Fitchburg, M***achusetts.

Great news and look forward to the event. Agree that this event has some of the best shopping around. Funny thing as I just heard a bit before this post from a friend with the same story.

    Hurry up spring!

    Oh yeah! I'm in

  6. Sadly, I can't make it this year. It is not the 7 hour drive, but that is my wife's birthday. Life has priorities. I hope to be around next year to go to Fitchburg, even though I am now 81 years old, and still active. Since we moved to Pennsylvania 4 years ago, we are happy here, but we miss our friends, and family in New England. I hope to see some of you at Carlisle, and Hershey if you go.

  7. Can't make it this year, the day after our season opener.

Home base to Fonda speedway is an hour one way. I would have to get home unload the racecar load, up for the swapmeet in the wee small hours and drive fours hours one way to Fitchburg.

If I thought I could do it without falling asleep on the M***Pike I would, those all night Banzai runs are long in the past for me.

I am in bed at 7:00 P.M. these days! Up for work at 4:00 A.M.

Just spoke with an old friend. I asked him if we could meet up soon. I asked "what are you doing this weekend?" His reply " getting ready for Fitchburg " OH yeah!! Bump this thread

Hot Rods and aircraft and a little flea market, great combination, too far for me to attend but I do appreciate it, when such elements all are combined to have a lot of fun !

A few days ago my pal @Robert J. Palmer called me and he offered me his space at the swap. Way cool Robert, I will try to uphold the integrity of the spot.

Me and a couple buddies are gonna be in spots 168-170. I've got the pile ready to load up in my garage. I did a pretty serious clean out of my shelves

    Weather looks good for Sunday
Been cleaning, organizing, and sorting last couple nights. I will be bringing a heaping truck full of stuff. Lots of early Ford ch***is and brake stuff, trannies (lol), carbs, starters, etc. Enough sheet metal to piece together a model A coupe. Check it all out at space #13
    See you there, Ron

All loaded up, hopefully nothing falls out
Took the Chevy over to @mike bowling house for a visit, he's all packed up. Mike's in spot #150, dead center of the whole shebang.
Joe Publicover, a fellow Snapper, he's in spot #297ish. Joe has been around for quite awhile and he has a bunch of neat old stuff, it would be worth a p*** by. 20220423_150026.jpg

Have fun, post lots of photos. Maybe 2023 is the year I finally get there.

  29. I went to Fonda only to discover the races were canceled due to a fear of rain, but at least I got to see the new fence on the outside of turn one and two.
