Technical Bent Valve when turning by hand?

    I would be inclined to find out why there was a hard spot when you turned it over , if the heads were ok then it can be a bottom end problem ( tight bearing ) or something in a chamber ( nut /bolt ) If its a new motor I definetly find out why before firing it up .

    if you can find /borrow /buy a borescope to check out the chambers first before tearing into it ,
    even the cheap borescopes/Camera from HF are worth there money sometimes cheaper than the headgaskets .


    if its a old running lower end ( just new heads slapped on ) I would still be curious why its tight in one spot . ( could just be torque converter or sticky clutch/mainshaft ),

    Is the FE motor capable of valve bottoming out? Say chain jumped? Also have you ever heard of a double roller jumping?
