Another update. My Vicky now has driprails! Got all the bugs worked out, fine tuned the dies to get as close to the originals as I could and pulled the first complete set. Welded them on today, very pleased with how they worked and look. Borrowed a friend's Tudor and 5 window to get the right curve (my Vicky roof I built with "eyeball" measurements!) so I'm now ready to start making them. For those of you that's been asking, I got conned into chopping and doing the floors in a friends Model A, starting that on Monday, soon as I'm done with it (a week or so) I'll try to run a few sets of driprails to ship out.

Unbelievable! Beautiful. You got that little bead at the top like the originals ... you ARE the man! I'll be orderin' some in about 2 weeks.

Now make door hinges for the deuce 5W/Tudor/Vicky and two of the hardest to find items will finally be available.

Yeah, well that little bead gave me the most grief! Had to have it though.
Someone else will have to do the hinges, I'm a "sheet" metalman, never played with casting!

Well, your efforts are well appreciated. It would be my guess that those drip rails would have to be the hardest thing to repro on a '32 Ford. A true work of art ... you have my utmost respect.

I'll be in touch shortly about my purchase.

As for the hinges, it would be nice if there were exact replicas available.
However, I'll probably make do with what I have (repairing)

I did have some discussion with someone at Brookville about their roadster hinges. I was told the bottom hinges can be made to work (just in case anyone else reading this thread is interested).

They look great. I need a full set for a Tudor sedan that some one cut the originals off of.

i don't know if this helps, but we stock 10 ft. strips of the 1932 ford drip rail material. you would have to cut it and bend it yourself, but it would be a good start.

Do you make the driprails for a 32 Vicky? Do they come with the bends?
    Thanks Terry

I was but I quit making all the drip rails several years ago. United Pacific started having them made in China and selling them cheap enough I couldn't compete. UP makes them only for their 5 window but you could buy 2 sets and splice them together to fit a Vic. The curves are the same on all the 32s, just the length is different

Can someone comment on the long lengths mentioned in post #39 by So-Cal Speed?

The Facebook link is useless to me.

SoCal no longer lists an affiliate location in Sacramento. On the main site for Pomona, they do not list drip rail.
Quick search of the web looks like United Pacific is the place for drip rail.
    Good Luck,
