I'm putting a S 10 5 speed in my 31 Model a , it still has the banger , what pilot bearing do I need ? source or part # would be appreciated , thanks Vern
Do a search for T5 in a model A or whatever. There are dozens of threads dealing with this. Are you using the AA bell housing? Are you keeping the torque tube? Vintage Precision makes a great bell housing. Vintage Metalworks makes a nice adaptor for T5 to AA bell housing. Kato Kings make the adaptor for T5 to torque tube. Speedway sells the 32-36 throwout bearing and the throwout collar to adapt the S10 T5 to 32 throwout bearing. Talk to Casey at Vintage Precision. He will send you a ton of info on what you have to do to the input shaft. Warren
Yeah I'm using the AA bell housing , converted the banjo to an open drive shaft , I have looked at threads until I can't see straight but they never give a bearing # , I made my own adapter plate out of 3/4 aluminum plate , just need that pilot bearing . Thanks for your reply Vern
I used a 6203v bearing in an A flywheel for a Chrysler gearbox conversion. You can use that number as a reference , just get a bearing joint to supply one with the appropriate ID to suit you T5 spigot, could be the same?
