I've seen them on lots of Ausie and South African rods...

Can you fill me in?

 

The pic was taken before my sisters wedding, the bride and father arrive at the church in the car. The ribbons are there to show its a wedding party car, there were three other rods as well for the bridal party they also had ribbons. Not sure when or where the tradition started.

I've seen lot's of supposedly "Car Show" pics that had the ribbons but I guess they weren't necessarily from a car show...

that funny, when the family and i went to louisville nats. this month that old fart was there. pissed the old lady off pretty mad. he was walking towards an area to sit and so was the old lady with the two babies boyyd sat right down in front of her and the kids all MAN she was pissed off.

 

I compeletly understand all the issues related to this post . You like/hate Boyd ,restored/custom[ . What ever floats you boat,but Ive got to ask this question

It is amazing how arrogant he is, I can't watch his show because I see a thoughtless fuckwit on the screen and I just don't need it. I hope he has a good business manager because if he really is running that place, it won't be for long.

As long as Discovery Channel is paying his bills to piss us off (thus tuning in to watch him because humans seem to have the sick and twisted "car wreck syndrome") he'll stay in business just fine... It's just like OCC... they don't have to know what the hell they're doing, as long you're there to watch them they get paid. At least that's how it seems anyway...

I see people all the time that do shit with their cars that I personally couldn't bring myself to do to a rusty '79 Dodge D-50 truck bed. So what? It's theirs, and that means it's their car to mangle if they wanna.

 

Exactly. Boyd's got the deep pockets to do it, it's now his car, he can do what he wants to with it. You don't have to like it but facts is facts - it's his ride and he'll do with it as he pleases.

Can we get back to what we do best or is this what we do best? I gotta get to work on a '38 Ford truck seat and I think I'll snap spme pix for a tech piece.

 

This is also true... I don't know how I find myself getting sucked into the drama of rants sometimes. Boyd does annoy the hell out of me... but your point is also valid. I should spend less time worrying about him and more about what I should be doing... I guess "kill your television" isn't such a bad idea!! Nobody would be upset if we didn't know who he was...

Haha, this is a funnt thread. On sunday at Pomona Swap we were hanging out drinking in the hot sun. I swear we saw like 15 guys that looked like Boyd Cottington with beards and hawaiian shirts. It was like a bad dream...

 

I only read them because I'm in a betting pool on how many more posts before it gets LOCKED!!
