Technical Could I trouble you for a measurement please?

    Hello wise forum.
    I have a 53 Bel Air that is missing the upper tie bar in front of the radiator. No big deal for me to make one, but I need the measurement from the center of both bolts where they bolt in to the baffles.

    That's a very strange paint job. How about a close up and an explanation on how you did it?

    It was my own version of what I saw on this TV show "welder up"

    I started with bright silver. Then lightly brushed black vertical strokes all over. Then a candy red, Then a candy black.

    I wanted something that looks like it came straight from "Hell"

    I named her..... La Scorcha !

    Just a quick update.
    The engine has been brought to life. I think I should have used one of those fuzzy things over the mirophone, but you get the idea.
    Its a 496 stroker with a medium cam and big aluminum heads.
