Hey everyone, this is probably a dumb question but those are always the easiest to answer

I've got a 6 carb setup I'm trying to get sorted and getting leaks from the seat of the banjo spacers (9086K-P) into the inlets (9564K-BIG-C). These two are designed to work together (from what I read).

The descriptions from the stromberg site don't mention or show a gasket, but guessing you run one? That's what I was to try next when I get them from Lucky's.

Thanks in advance for any advice! Curious how people are running them.

Banjo fittings are normally AN which would require a gasket or crush washer to seal. NPT fittings are tapered and seal without a washer. I don't really know anything specifically about Stromberg carbs but since you're calling it a banjo that's what I'm thinking.

I would think you would need a copper washer on each .

Good looking setup by the way

That is a sweet nailhead! I'd try a copper crush washer, I bet that cures it.

I'd ping Stromberg a question. The connection is either made to seal by tapered threads, or by a seat at the nose of the fitting. Unlikely to be a crush-washer type seal.

    Cheers,

Thanks guys! All these are common sense suggestions I should have tried but that's why I ask you-

@Harv I reached out to them like you suggest, the seat of that thing looks like an AN and it's 18 degrees according to them, they make it sound like it should seat perfectly with no issue.

@Bandit Billy Thanks man! Eager to get it running again! I am going to try a crush washer to see what happens.

@hrm2k Thanks for the compliment, yeah Ima try that.

@vtwhead I reached out to Max to see what he says, thanks for the referral ;)

That's a great looking engine, so if I were you I would keep a fire extinguisher handy until you get the leak sorted...
