Those pics of the damage help show the quality of the chop (no burst welds) and Ian (Redoxide) carrying on the quality work on the rebuild. Kudos to EvilGus for having the faith and strength of character getting the car rebuilt, great save.

The chop was done by Bob Bleed at Midwest Fabrication. So no surprise it was done well.

What a terrific turnaround...Great work @redoxide...I hope it spends the rest of its life being a normal Hotrod, just being nasty winning races and making noises...

You Fellas Across the Pond never disappoint...EVER...it looks and sounds fantastic...;)

    Love the Production too...lookout Batman...:D

Ah well, did the first 3 figure run in the coupe , No point beating around the bush, nearly **** my pants . FFS, even forgot the safe word .. Bana.... shi$%****K. I foolishly gave The man the green light to open it up, well, we did drive to the petrol station sedately, so guessed that was enough of a shakedown .. Thankfully the OD wasn't operating properly and we run out of revs .. "Abandon hope all ye who enter here" is the legend that should be on the dash ... Is it quicker ..err... yup.. I hate to think what it will be like in there when the man regains full familiarisation ..

Hard launches were restricted with the hi stall TC as the carbs bogged but the car did get fair wound up ready for the off.. With a few carb tweaks and the gear vendors box of magic by p***ed via an old school switch direct to the OD solenoid, things should be very lively through the gears and into the top end. 140 shouldn't be unrealistic .. but not recommended for responsible old guys like us ... Im sure somebody will let me know, since I don't think I'm brave enough to find out first hand...

Tell you what though, 70 mph hands off the wheel, drove straight as a die, rear shox need softened as it was chirping on the corners somewhere around 90ish on the private test track [IMG] .. Forgot how loud it is even with the headers re packed .. eh !

Its a little bit rough, exceedingly tuff and 100% hot rod .. Its been a lot of fun, often frustrating, but really worth while and entertaining exercise .. Im ****** knackered..

Thanks for all the positive comments and likes. Its not what were after posting the progress updates, but its cool to see folk looking in, taking an interest and appreciating the effort that goes into these things even though its nothing fancy, just good old gr*** roots back yard DIY hot rodding [IMG] .. Thanks again.
