Has anyone found a Wonderbar Radio for 1957 Bel Air that requires no cutting or modifications and has built-in bluetooth? I have seen a few advertised but I have also heard horror stories about buying and not receiving or they don't work or sound good. Hoping to find someone that had a good experience and recommendation.
I've one in my 48' Chevy to replace the old 6v stock radio , dash slot was adapted to the new smaller wonderbar radio panel. Beside this, easy installation, good sound with the Retrosound stereo speaker. Would recommend it!
I’d consider a Bluetooth wireless speaker installed and just use your phone to provide the music. No need for that expense and dealing with dash buttons. My portable speaker has better sound than any radio speakers Ive heard.
Bluetooth is just a brand name for short-link radio technology. I think there's a loophole somewhere under the "walkie-talkie" clause of the user agreement.
These guys have what you want. I have one in my 57. Works great! https://www.classiccarstereos.com/S...378908#/filter:fitment:1957>Chevrolet>Bel Air
I would highly recommend these guys. They built a radio for my ‘58 Impala. They even had in stock a core ‘58 radio for the conversion and rechromed the bezel. It turned out beautifully and the sound and performance is awesome…… and is a stock radio with modern guts. AM-FM, Bluetooth and Aux. I think it was around $600 about 4 years ago. If you have your own core radio, it would save you around $60 if I remember correctly. I have a Kenwood Bluetooth amp in my Merc hidden under my Falcon console and use the Spotify app on my phone (no head-unit).
I just finished the install of one in my 57. Pricey, but looks factory and that's what I wanted. All the features work fine and sounds good.
LOL, 'was wondering who'd pick up on that Soupy Sales, a favorite for sure. Black Tooth & White Fang; just a glimpse of those paws made your imagination run wild
