I have an old 76 GL1000 I want to turn into bobber-esque style bike. Does anyone know of a good source of information like the HAMB for bikes? This is my first bike and any help is appreciated, as I won't attempt it if I'm to afraid of messing something up. Thanks and sorry for the ot post.

I've got a couple of neglected early '70's CB750's patiently waiting for a garage to be built so I can put them back together!

About ten years ago, at a Harley and antique motorcycle swap meet here in Phoenix, I saw a first-generation Gold Wing that had been turned into a red cafe racer. It looked a bit like a BMW R100S. It was pretty neat. A lot of people were looking it over.

That was the only time I ever looked at a Gold Wing and thought, "Hey - I bet I could pick that up if it fell over."

Holy**** VW Pete. That is THE ****! Quick question if you don't mind: What wires did you keep? I hate electrical, and I want as little wires on the bike as possible. Oh, and did you hack the stock frame there to eliminate the rear shock, thus making it a rigid?

Let me see if I still have my wireing diagram and I'll see if I can get it to you.
I have them for a '75-79 gl1000 and the 80 up gl1100 you want a early let me look and I'll find it may take a day or 2.
