Does anyone have location dimensions for a 46 long door coupe seat. All of the holes have been lost due to patch panels in the floor. I have the original bottom frame that bolts to the floor and the cushion that sets in it.
Do what feels good. I have an almost stock 40 tudor that I moved the seat back a couple inches just because I could. Made for better ergonomics.
How tall are you? I replaced all the floors in my 39 Tudor, but when it came to seat mounting I made another set of holes that moved the seat back 3 inches. Made all the difference being 6 foot 2 inches tall.
My 39 seat has 2 sets of holes, I put everything in the wayback spots. I too will add a couple inches. To the floor! Stop giving me those looks! There, I made the measure/dick joke 1st...
Found holes in the upper frame rails that matched the seat frame perfectly. The frame can be moved forward or backward 4 inches. Since I am short, 5 ft 5, I put it in the middle set of holes.
That makes you a wee bit taller than me. When it comes time to sell this car, I might have a problem.
I spend a lot of time getting the seat positioned to be comfortable for me, I also raise it up, or lower it for that perfect location. I drive my stuff for hours at a time, correct seating position is worth the effort.
I have a 47 long door coupe that I restored in 2014 , and as I recall the seat tracks holes go right thru the car frame and there is a filler strip between the frame and floor panel, if you measure the holes on the seat tracks, the matching holes will be in the frame.
