For those of you that didnt hear about it, we had an onion bowling contest in front of the Ramada LATE Saturday night. It was a hoot!! Thanks to BenD for providing the very tasty onion:eek: !! If you look close enough at the pics, you will see Ben trying to hide it under his arm. He didn't want to give it up but it was a good cause. Why did we have bowling pins? WHY NOT!!! It was a close game but LIL Mike wins!! But damit he cheated! he threw it overhand!! Here's some of my favorite moments of the drags and the Onion Bowl. Thanks to everyone for a great time and I would like to apologize in advance for my behavior Saturday night.

The best line I heard about that event was on Sunday morning...

"I don't know why we were using an onion when we gots a perfectly good midget"

    Damn near pissed myself!

when I saw those 5 orphan pins at the swap meet in soaked in the rain... I just knew that we could put them to good use. I just wish I were awake to enjoy it...

(my original plan was to use a watermelon... wouldn't that have been fun...)

Some credit needs to go to Thirtyfivepickup for having the foresight to buy the box of bowling pins at the swap meet on Friday. We had plenty of disscusion on what to use for a ball, but apparently it took care of itself. It will now forever be know as onion bowling, and we are powerless to change it.

I think a watermelon or cantaloupe wrapped in duct tape would serve nicely. I predict a new drags tradition starting...

I have two old bowling pins in the shop....

actually a cantaloupe was my first choice, but we did see a watermellon at the ice cream shop/suermarket in town. Why the hell did we not think of the DUCTTAPE?

I think 6 is a fine number for onion bowling... if we went to 10 people would have to start really flinging the onion hard... meaning the onion would be ruined quickly.

The plan is to have onion bowling in the street in front of Fool's Pub at the Pile Up... but shhhhhhhoooooosh! Don't tell the Czars....

Get your teams together now! Tournament slots are filling up fast! Wait until you see the trophy!

I bowled a strike my first try. I decided to retire at the top of my game.

I can see it now, it's the middle of the night, squishy sounds come from the Rashy Shop, secret practicing, testing new "balls", cantaloupes, watermelons, onions, rutabages, a late night run to Wally World for more 200 mile-an-hour tape, just to get a compeitive edge...and hope the training overcomes too many "adult beverages" on the fateful evening...

    That's funny stuff right there...

Seems there's always squishy sounds coming from my shops...

Remember the old one over on Florence that would flood everytime it rained. Miserable.

Of course it never got as slimy in there as it did that night you were coming over so we could fire up the 41 for the first time and I dumped all five quarts of oil in it. I was so excited I forgot to put the drain plug in first...

I just wanta thank whoever got Lil Mike back to the room, both Friday and Saturday night. I rolled his lil' *** outa bed at 8:30 Sunday morning, and said "c'mon bud, it's time to hit the road". Didn't head SW until 10:00 but Louie got us back to my house and the LM P.P. Pink Caddy by 1:30. Great weekend, the stories on the way home were super, next year the drags need to start earlier on Saturday!!

I remember, but I wasn't going to tell. There are some other stories that haven't been told either. But dude, you have come a long long way since those days we thrashed together on your Chevy. Now the tables have turned and you and the rest of your group are now inspiring me! The '39 will drive soon!

I couldn't do it. I was gonna say yeah, your cookies!! but I'd be a damb liar! Then I might not get anymore. I could see it now EVERYONE gets offered a cookie, you get to me and....keep going. My heart would be broken. :(

So I will have to tell you about the other stuff.:D

It started when I was young...Brussels Sprouts!! yuck!! Then there was that liver!! ....eeewwwwwww.(ironically, liver an onions go together, coincidence?) Then there's those anchovies!! ... Why would you put salty fish on pizza?...ick! Oh yeah, then there was the time I at Comet cleanser!! ....then once my dad washed my mouth out with LAVA SOAP!! for saying some dirty word. That was fun:eek: , but, not very tasty either!! My mother said when i was a youngster, I ate blue shoe polish! !! It's all coming together now that I see it in black and white.....
