Hot Rods Vintage heads

Can anyone Identify these heads?

 

Allstate

 

Looks to me like it says DALTON.

I expect the company that made them with the ALLSTATE name, would make them with whatever name you paid for?

 

Looks like hieroglyphic's to me... Man I need to get my eye's checked!

 

if thats what they say, Im gonna have to find one of those as thats my name, lol

 

In saw a set of Allstate heads on a car over 60 years ago. The owner was in the process of grinding the name off. Apparently back then, the owner didn't want anyone to know he bought his "hi-compression" heads at Sears.

 

Now that squirrel added the pic, it's waaaay easier to see!!!

 

Wow, very interesting. They sure do look like the Allstate castings with "DALTON" cast into them, and then machined off flat. No idea where that name would have come from, or who was doing the castings for Allstate but that's pretty fascinating, has to be incredibly rare.

 

It looks like it says Dalton. With my ****py free software....

 

Well never heard of DALTON heads and google isn’t any helpful either
