Guess my search skills are for ****, but all I can come up with is this photo from GNRS. Does this car have any relation to the Andrade/Carvalho '27 T? Reason I ask is this statement from an old thread about the Carvalho roadster: Here's the pic:
Don Clem built the yellow roadster. Don started building it in 1946 ran the lakes in 1948 turning 109mph. Valley Customs was commissioned to fabricate the Aluminium nose and bellypan, (there is a likelihood Whitey Clayton did the Aluminium work). Car then sat for 50 years. Only relation the Andrade/Carvalho '27 and Clem roadster have is that they were both owned by the Clem family at the time of Pat Ganahl photographed Clem's T for Lost Hot Rods.
Thanks Jimmy, don't know what we'd do without you! Like you, I am an absolute ****er for these track nose T's (as well as track nose A's and B's, and track nose '25 Chevies!) Whitey's work on the Osgood T is the high water mark of track noses, IMO.
There is an article on the Clem T in Rodders Journal No.11 page 8. The drive train is described as a 40 Chrysler 6 cylinder, with custom alloy cylinder head, and the Gearbox , front end and rear end are sourced from a 36 Dodge
Don's son Dave is a friend of mine. If you PM me your contact info I can try to p*** it on to Dave if you want. And yes, the car is awesome.
