I've noticed a few questions about mounting a panel for ignition, light switch, horn ****on or whatever on the bottom edge of a 28-32 Ford but have problems because of the curve it's impossible to attach a switch panel with a straight top to it. I had the same problem and started looking around and found something on E-Bay from goodspeed they call it a dash panel mount leveler for 28-32 Fords it's curved on top to fit the contour of the dash but is flat on the bottom to mount the panel. Price is $28.95 + shipping. Not endorsing anyone just saying it worked for me and maybe it can help someone.

I have done it two was , I use a 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 flat bar Aluminum 1/8 thick bend the shape of bottom of dash mount on upper side of dash lip so knob or toggle switch face floor,
The other way I use a 2-1/2 x2-1/2 angle Aluminum 1/8 thick cut off 1 -1/2 inch off ( side that would face floor cut in few place to shape to dash , mount upper side on dash lip , the head light switch & toggles will set back far enough that cannot be seen unless you kind of lean over,
Use cardboard to get your shape & pie cuts , then transfer to your angle aluminum.

I made this out of a flat sheet of aluminum. Instead of bending or using angle, I traced the curve and just bent two tabs to mount to the dash. The tabs extended upwards from the top curve. Should have masked for the crinkle paint a little better! Low dollar way to kinda match the main panel IMG_0647.JPG IMG_0525.JPG

I went wit a sub dash fromHot rods by dean. Had to use a shrinker to get it to match the curve of the dash. C5527C55-0F65-4630-BA8B-540D6DCEF95C.jpeg

  5. I had a guy shape one of my switch panels for a 32 dash. I had these cast a few years back when I was doing a run of aluminum parts.

Maybe you could mount them in a column drop? Just wanted to put the idea out there.
