    Hi everyone .
I’m after a bit of help please .
I have a chassis Engernering transmission kit and engine mount kit to fit a 351w and c4 transmission, the transmission kit went in ok and the transmission mount is sitting in place , but I’m having a few problems with the engine mounting brackets.
I have followed the instructions for the dimensions ( picture included ) but have had to adjust them by 1 and half inches forward, the brackets are sitting 7/16 of the inner frame edge . If I was to bolt them through to hold them in place would this be sufficient and strong enough ? Their is 1 and a 1/4 “ sitting on the frame . The brackets are both a equal distance both sides sitting on the frame and also equal from the back of the bracket to the frame edge
This is my first time doing this and have spent all day finding out as much as I can so any help would be very appreciated.
I have also included 2 pictures of the sump to show it clears the front cross member , I can fit my fingers between the gap .

First thing I see is it looks like the motor/transmission aren’t squared with the frame, the output shaft of the transmission and the center line of the crankshaft need to be the same distance from the frame rails and square to the cross members.
Next you don’t show witch oil pan you have but is it possible that you have mounted the transmission to far forward?

the oil pan is a rear sbf pan so it clears the front crossmember . The transmission mount I bolted in to the original holes as the chassis Engernering instructions directed me to . The c4 transmission mount is sitting in the lower plate but the nuts havnt been tightened.

It’s probably an optical thing but the front crossmember looks pushed back in the center. And like I said before the engine transmission must be offset the same amount front and back.
Once you have the combination located where it should be you can make adjustments on height and try and clear the cross member.

You can raise the front of the engine enough to clear the crossmember to a point but floor and firewall location come into into play. You only need to clear the cross member by 1/2 to 3/4 of and inch.

If it were me, I would slot the transmission mount bolt holes by one hole diameter, and slide everything back.

check your transmission mount. My fuzzy memory says that some c-4 mounts weren't centered fore and aft.
