It looked like a pretty good showing, wish I could have made it but did anyone get an accurate count on the amount of cars that showed up?? I registered my car for the goodies even though I couldn't make it(a little lesson dad taught me), and would like to know how good the showing really was. I will be in attendance next year so hopefully the weather will cooperate! TIIIIIMMMMMMMMMMYYYY!!!!!!!!!
I saw a video done at the drags and noticed a heck of a lot of cars there which I did not see at the Ramada Inn. Where do all these guys come from....do they just show up for the day? Are there some that do not participate in the HAMB? Just curious.
I'd only be guessing on the number of cars (100+), but I know every room at the Ramada was booked, and that is 267 rooms. Crazy eh?
Over 2000 peeps at the gate... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=128332 The Ramada wasn't the only hotel overrun by the HAMB...
Yes, there are some guys that do not particiapte on the HAMB...at least, guys that only lurk and never post...no one knows them that way...and yet they can learn about events that way... Some guys heard about it by word of mouth...they show up to simply "race" and not partake of the Ramada festivities...and do not care to meet other people... Takes all kinds ya know...??? R-
timmy it was great, tommy would have loved it . best thing i done in a long time . send me your phone # weeds
We stayed in Pittsburg with a friend.. I didn't think the Ramada would be a good place for my 3 year old.. We did get to talk to a lot of people at the race, so I don't feel too bad. That onion bowling did look like fun though.
