Hot Rods Slant Post Fordor AV8

Nothing major. Just a little color.

 

I’ve gotten a few small things done. Need to mount my gas tank and accelerator next. First time I’ve pushed it out and gotten a good look at it.

Sorry guys for not posting very much! I don’t ever think about taking pictures during the process…. Been busting ass to try and get this turd on the road by Sept 9th for its first show. Got it wired yesterday. Need to mount the gas tank and run lines. Mount the seat and throw the back glass in it for now. Break the cam in and go!

 

Well, the car made it to the show, but I didn’t drive it… to many little things that I didn’t have time to finish. Had a blast and met tons of new friends! Can’t wait to run next year! If you’re in the Midwest and your car qualifies, you need to be there!

Your car is looking great. What can you tell us about this one, always like seeing Ford body parts shuffled around. Looks like a 28-29 Fordor cowl with a 30-31 firewall added, or was it once a 1929 Cabriolet?

 

I’ll find out, but if I remember correctly, it’s a cut down coupe with a Murray cowl?

 

Thanks! My '29 Steelback is more '31 Slantwindow than '29, just attaching the '29 cowl and rear section. That way the only wood in the body is in the top and upholstery tacking strips.
