Met up with my buddy Jim Lee in his 34 5 window coupe on Sunday morning and we cruised from OC down to Escondido to a nice show at the Bates Nut Farm, nice venue, on the gr*** with plenty of shade. Weather was nice, clear blue skies, but not too hot. There were a lot of cars there, but most of them were OT for the HAMB, and frankly they ****ed pretty bad (amazing how people can screw up a car!). But I still managed to snag some decent photo's of the best ones. It was a nice drive, all except the part on the 5 fwy, man that highway ****s! The road surface is really bad, just beats you to hell; and on the way back there was quite a bit of traffic. But some nice roads down around Escondido. We parked way up on the furthest edge of the show. Not the best spot if you're hoping for a trophy, but really nice for us.
