Wasn't able to upload the link with my phone, but I always liked the Imperial Speedster.

This looks so right at first glance; then comes the .."wait a minute...."
I have never found another picture of this phantom '55 Chevy 4-door hardtop. One description says it is a '56 with front and rear clips. Anyone know more about it?

    @clem ,
It was never a five window.
    It is a phantom Roadster/Cabriolet.

Also known as a Dearborn Deuce.

A quick google search brings up some tri- five forums. Yes - a conversion from a ‘56 model, - sold in 2011 for $13,000 - (or so says the internet).
Seems that I am not the only person who doesn’t like the ‘56 model……..:D

Not as radical as some on this thread but I've always liked this one. I do believe that this pic came from the hamb several years ago. Credit to builder/owner/photographer.

Note: watermark says Al Consoli. I've went to his page and never found this photo, but credit to him anyway.

My 36 Willys pick up. Originally a 4dr sed made into a pick up in CA. The guy sitting on the roof is Ray Kobel and he sent it back to NY where it got the SBC treatment. This was around 64.

I think a previous post I made was deleted because the phantom had modern wheels on it. Maybe these will be ok ...

    Some cool stuff.

For me the two standouts by far are the 59fraud 40’, and the Copperhead 50’ of Billy Gibbons. Both have a level of style, detail and elegance that transcends Custom, and seems better described as Coach-built. The 33’ B-400 might fit here as well.

Here's an interesting phantom a friend purchased ...

    54Buick-Buckalew.jpg

When he went to register it, the MVD told him the serial number came back to a Skylark. After some checking, he found where the rear end had been cut off and learned it had been added to a coupe, like this one ...

So I guess you could call both of them PHANTOMS.

FANTOM? Guess their spell checker wasn't working that day.

On second thought, I searched for the meaning of Fantom and it's the word for Phantom in Slovenian.
