ll]5141902[/ATTACH] i bought this i think 2004 in Dundee mi it had a lot of issues so i stored it till this year been working on it now it is drive able i think it was built in the 80s or 90s was told it was a California car do not know
It looks like it might have been a lot slicker and smoother custom at some time in it's life before someone got their hands on it and decided that they needed to add some extra stuff. Those huge skirts that look like they were made out of 49/51 Merc lower quarter panels with 51 skirts welded in are really distracting and right now own the car even with the flame job. over eye blinding yellow paint.
being in So Cal I’d remember it but don’t. Sleds like that need to be a solid dark color for me; I do like it’s style..
The HAMB is back to normal slamming customs. The large skirts might be some body`s version of the Jimmy Jones`s skirts. Who was from Michigan. I know of a few cars that were bought in California. That were built in the mid west. Then couldn`t sell them. Then shipped to California so they would sell better. Then bought by someone in the mid west.
Looks like one my buddy owned in the late 80’s early 90’s. Same color yellow. Car was a mess and chop was ****.
Hmmm...I built this '51 Ford when I was about 25 (mid '70s). I started with a $100 old drag car body, cut the roof off, put in a 283/pg...I got all the hard work done...but pretty much just roughed in. I don't think I had $500 in it. Drove it for a summer and sold it to a guy in Ohio. Looks kinda similar ...or what it might look like if someone finished it.
No, I really didn't think so either. Although mine had a rust free body, it would have taken a ****load of work to bring it even close to the quality of your car.
i thought my be this was your car at first my car was a Victoria 2 door hard top when i cut the roof off it was a 1964 chevy roof under that mess the car is rust free
Mark Kirby well known flathead builder was in Dundee, Michigan. He might have had some connection to that car at one time but is no longer with us.
