If you're willing to drive a few miles south on #95, the Hot Rod Hoedown is a lot of fun- lots of trad cars, live music, burnout contest, flame-thrower contest, etc. It's in Wilmington, DE on 9 September. Here's the website. http://www.hotrodhoedown.com/2006_hotrod_hoedown.html Do a search on the HAMB and you'll find out more about it...
Hemmings Car Show in Pownal, VT, Sept. 15-17 (http://www.bennington.com/attractions/events/carshow.html) then he can bop a couple miles up the road to Bennington to visit Hemmings itself (www.hemmings.com). dan
He could run up to the Dutchess County fairgrounds on the weekend of the 16th-17th and look at the rods.
New York is a big State. Takes about 7 hours to go from the US/Canada border near Buffalo to Manhatten. I ***ume you mean New York City?
Bear Mountain State Park....Every Wed. night huge cruise . If yer in the City take the George Washington bridge to the Palisades Pky north to Bear Mt. About 40 minutes
The Goodguys show at Dutcess County Fairgrounds on Rt.9 in Rhinebeck,NY is about 1.5 hours north of the city. That's on Sept. 16 weekend as well as the Bennington,Vt. show. Bennington is about 2 hours north of Rhinebeck on Rt.7 in Pownal,Vt.
He won't need a car for the Indian Larry Party. A little subway line research or Bus line research and he ought to be able to find his way there. It's just across the river from Lower Manhattan. Straight over the Williamsburg Bridge. The Hoe-Down will be about 2 1/2 hours south of the city. Enjoy NYC. MIKE.
