Hot Rods 1947 de Soto

  1. I just bought a 47 de Soto and it does not come with a transmission and I was was wondering if anyone have changed the ****** I would like to keep the flat head but not sure what I can do to put bolt a 727 or a 350 turbo to it.

    You have two options for mounting a 'newer' auto trans.
    If you want/need to use a GM trans then you will be talking to Wilcap/SpeedGems.
    If you want/need to use a Mopar trans then you will be talking to me.

    Seriously, unless there is a recent addition to the L6 adapter makers club then we are the only two.

  3. I don’t have a preference on what I use I havnt even looked into a transmission I’m just looking at what adapters there are and wasn’t having much luck. Where can I get Info on what you have

  5. I was wondering the best way to get some pricing for your adaptors. I would like to keep it all mopar and go with the 727.

    You could search for one of the old forklift and airport tug adapters. Many of them had flathead 6s with 727s behind them. I got the one in my stash of Ebay a few years ago.
