Is this how the first pointed scallops were produced?

 

Before I painted my old '40 Ford pickup (with a '37 pass. nose) semi-gloss black with flames, I ran it in black primer with gray primer scallops for a summer.

 

At least you’re not getting crabby about what’s posted.

 

The black primer laid down nicely, but the scallops "fish-eyed"

Love scallops in paint but not the food and never was too good at fishing.
