model a rat

I'm looking to build my first rat rod. I want a model a 2door sedan. Where can I get a decent one cheap? The wife is gonna OK this but I have to spend as little as possible. Should I use the stock frame or go after market? If I use stock I have to z it and box it right? Is this a pain? I want to put a 302, 351, or flathead in it. Whatever I can get first and cheap. I also do NOT want a suicide front end.

I found this pic online and it is the closest to what I had in mind. Anyone know or guess on the mods that were done to the body and frame?

Now that rod (hot rod or rat) your looking at isnt a Ford. Looks like something GM or Es***...still fuzzy myself on early GMs as I am into Mopars.

But its obviously been Z'd front and rear to get the frontend low and the rear end tucked up. Probably boxed custom frame....=P and definately Channeled.
Just lurk awhile on here and pickup a Rod and Kulture mag, or a cool Rodders Journal and readup you'll eventually pickup bodystyles and mods!!! Good luck with your project...

Hey just dont go to Street Rodder web sites to find "Old school" or traditional hot rods man, usually they are cartoon rods. Gotta first decide....
