the big show in the dells is just around the corner. whos going? I plan on bringing the nitro coupe. I usually go to the drive in for a movie on Friday or Saturday. I like to see all the cars cruising at night after the show.
Its been 20 years since I've been to that show. Lots of different car, lots of people, lots of traffic and lots of cops handing out tickets. I'd be surprised if you could get a motel room at this late date. If you can get a motel room along the cruising strip, set up the lawn chair on the edge of the parking lot and watch all the excitement, it goes on well past midnight! Be warned, an open beer while sitting in a chair on the edge of a parking lot = a ticket, and you better be able to prove you are staying at that motel! My buddies kid never misses the show, he and all his buddies with their modern twin turbo car attend. He said the tickets are still handed out freely, its one of the town's Police biggest revenue weekends.
