Customs HELP, 1955 chevy body bushing location !

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by pigIRON63, May 13, 2022.

  1. Ok, I bought a 55 210 2dr sedan a couple months ago. It was in rough shape and needed a new floor pan and frame. I cut the old pan out without dis***embling it from the frame because both were junk. The rusty stuff has since been hauled away. Fast forward to today. I purchased a frame, cleaned and painted it. I bought a one piece floor pan and new bushings and bolts. Now I am ready to bolt the pan to the frame, but I don't know which bushings go where. Can some one point me in the right direction?
    Thanks for any help

usually it's a good idea to keep all the old stuff around, until the new one is together and working. If you can.

This is exactly why you take tons of pictures with the cell phone you have when dis***embling.

count how many of each type?
Seems like the 2 thin ones go under the rad support, the round ones go to the floor mounts and the square ones do the front fenders. Or maybe that was on a different car.....

Pick up the factory manual and the trim and body manual for the car. It will show almost any area of the car.

The kits we used to use had a sheet to tell you what went where
