This past weekend I took my 55 into my buddies shop for him to install the exhaust I bought off of ebay. https://tinyurl.com/2x988paa The Ebay photos do not show that it is 3 pipes per side and the muffler and are labled A and B for each side as they are different. It was $400.00 plus $100 shipping last Nov. Now its $535.00. Its available in stainless for a grand. It doesn't say it in the ad but the mufflers I got are APM they sound really nice and low and throaty without being real loud and droning at highway speeds like the hacked together system it replaced. Took about three hours to install and all the bends were correct. I didn't get any after photos as I was too excited to go for a drive. I'll get some when it goes up on the lift next time to do the manifolds and to replace the clamps with welds. I have a 272 with the Fordomatic and there were no issues with it bolting up or fitting.
Looks like a nice kit. I do wonder why the listing says "hardtop only" - that does not make much sense to me. The car in your avatar looks like a Club Sedan? Quick question - what diameter are the pipes? I did not see that in the listing, but your photo makes it look like they are larger than stock.
Hey Dan sorry for the delayed response I did not get a notification for some reason. My car is a Club Sedan. I think he says hardtop only because the frame is different on the convertable? and the stock exhaust goes through the frame. The pipes are 2"
