OK, let's try again. We've got about 9 of ya showing up (or at least saying ya will) . Anyone else available Sept. 9 to come to a free, homegrown hot rod barbeque?!

Update! Chef Bryon, aka PERCULA, aka my older brother has increased the food quantities to 6 smoked pork shoulders and a couple of chickens. He's also making 3 different barbeque sauces. Damn! I'm gettin hungry!

It's sounding like we're up to 40+ cars so if you want a good spot in the backyard you should come early!

killer...you know I'll be there making sure lance's car sits as low as possible on the drive in (you know us fat guys are good for something, hahaha)...I'll see if I can't swing some goodies to bring along, and with your permission I'd like to make some of my specialty drinks for people, the Grease Monkey...I know everyone will like em, just gotta get the go ahead to bring liquor...

hahaha man, the only thing with my drinks are they can either make or break a party...and I mean really break it...Jagermeister has a way of doing that to people...(insert groans here for mention of Jagermeister)...I know, I know, everyone hates Jagermeister, except in Jag Bombs (which to me are the most disgusting waste of Jag ever invented), but trust me on this, not one single person that has tried this drink can turn down a second one...ask ground_pounder...but I will keep it to a minimum though, and nobody is going to get shitfaced unless they have a ride home...no exceptions...

C'mon, where are the rest of the locals? There's got to be more than 10 of ya interested in coming! It's a free event, we're serving free food and beer, and johnnyxcliche is bringing his famous cough syrup (errr, Jagermeister) shots!

I really should have came over earlier in the day, I have no doubt in my mind that with half a day and those seals you needed to replace we could have had that crossmember and those brackets braced or replaced and had the rearend all sealed up nice...I think I might have some good heavy tubing to make a new crossmember out of for ya, I'll have to check...

 

hmmm. . . 2:30 pm now. . . i wanna be out of here no later than 5-6am or so in the manyanna. . .

12 hours of thrash on a crossmember and axle in a car that already has its suspension setup (dimentions and angles. . .)

Army of one... i'm gonna go and take another look at it.

i got some 2"x4" .120" wall tubing out there and plenty of 3/16" plate along with some 3/8" strapping and some 1/4" plate . . .

 

Well everyone, we've got just over a week to go til the barbeque!

mmmm, BBQ...shit, that means I'd better start getting prepared to make my gumbo and bring my specialty drinks...DOH!!!...thanks for reminding me...

well, unless I get my crock pot working there will be no gumbo...and if I get it working there won't be any shrimp in it...not in Hot Rod Gumbo...
