Event Coverage Not the last Jalopy Showdown

For those of you who didn't go, you missed a great day. Although the crowd and car count was down the rain didn't come. A few sprinkles around 3:00PM, but everything was over by then. Let's hope that next year will be better.

 

...Don't make me any angrier at myself than I already am for not coming.

 

Had a great time, took the 63 Ford Galaxie "mild mild" custom out for a run through farm country and found old friend Marty L. next to his new build in the infield. The smaller crowd gave time to talk to those that came out and I even made some new friends talking early 60s Fords. Weather just cut it right and we split and ran home dodging the rain and into the shed just in time. Car ran great for the first run of the season. Can you ask for more? Love this event big or small, wet or dry, its a must go. The show field was half full but great cars all and as always provided inspiration to our projects back in the shop. Thanks to EMMR and the Hooligans Central PA for making a great event with friendly staff. Already looking forward to next year. Retrolad

Marty had a great looking car and he did very well on the track. We hung out at his tent for a while after the show.

I had a great time. Here are a few shots I saw posted of my car both on track and on route. My car made the 3 hour drive out, a few hours of racing and made the 3 hour drive home with no issues.
