Saw a news article today that looked like a ‘32roadster was involved in an accident. Did any of you hear anything about it?
The two vehicles involved were a Dodge Caravan and a 1932 Ford Roadster, in Langley British Columbia? Google has that news feed. Sad part of that story was the death of the driver, cars can be replaced. RIP https://www.langleyadvancetimes.com...gley-crash-that-ejects-him-from-his-roadster/
According to news sources, the roadster driver suffered a heart attack leading up to the accident. Sad day for the family.
The quote below is from the BCHRA (British Columbia Hot Rod ***oc.). Was also told that he may have suffered a heart attack before the collision. Indeed a terrible tragedy. "A 49-year-old man has died after a collision in the 20700-block of Grade Crescent in Langley City, just before 4 pm on Friday. The two vehicles involved were a Dodge Caravan and a 1932 Ford Roadster, confirmed Langley RCMP Cpl. Holly Largy. “The driver of the Roadster was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” she explained. We have been told his name is Jody Pellett ( 49 years old ) Mike Pellett's Brother ( both are Torchmen Car Club members)."
I feel sad for all involved. Even tho many of our fellow don’t want to take away from the style of our early cars it’s always best to do what we can to stay inside. It is unfortunate the driver was ejected with the impact.
This is a sad deal for sure. Tomorrow is promised to no man. At least he was out driving his hot rod and not in a cubicle, or laying in a hospital bed.
Not dismissing the tragedy or pointing a finger but my rides will always have seat belts. What a ****** shame...
