BS on A bone top speed of 30MPH. They won't accelerate real fast but I used to get on the freeway and drive mine at 55mph all the time could hit 60 going down hill ( no mods):). A banger in good shape and just a few mods will quite easly make a nice street cruser and take you just about any where you want to go. :p

Alfa made that engine forever, I just parted out a rusty 74 spider, cheap... I used the 5 speed that came with it. Already has a Hydraulic clutch, that made it fairly easy. The Oil pan/ Oil Pump was a bit of an issue. Spiders have a really wide duck bill sump that was too wide to fit between the rails. Found some other pan from an Alphetta I think.... That led me to have to find the oil pump from same. Now for the intake and carbs.... Those engines sold in America have ****a mechanical fuel injection, barf! You will never get that to work again, In other countries they had twin Delorto manifolds which have the same pattern as Webers... They are available on FeeBay and such...

  3. Not that I know off Donovan hasn't produced any Model D's for a number of years! An nobody is willing to part with one. Try to look one up for sale on "The Web" ; and you'll see what I mean.
