I liked him in white lightning, although not a "hot rod" movie there was some good driving in it.

Man, that ****s! Met him and got an autograph a few years ago at the Portland Roadster Show. He and Candy Clark were there. Seemed like a cool dude. Wish I could have chatted him up a little more than I did. Was hoping to chat with him at another show, but then covid hit.

Sad to see that. He was just fun to watch in the movies he was in. Reminded me a lot of a guy along with his crew who saved my bacon up on the Ave one night when a couple of guys decided to h***le me when I had stopped in a parking lot to just sit and watch the cars go by for a bit in his portrayal in American Graffiti.

I met Bo at NSRA York years ago. He talked with us for over a half hour. Very cool guy. I have a autographed photo, hangs proudly in my house. R.I.P. Bo.

  18. Bo was a very good actor,,,,,,I always thought his work in The Wild Bunch was very good .
Back in the 70s he did a mini series called Aspen,,,,,,he drove a beautiful old Corvette.
As it turned out,,,he was the bad guy, ( killer ),,, at the end of the series.
    There were big actors in that,,,,Sam Elliot,,,,Perry King,,Tony Franciosa,,,,,,many others .
Bo really had a lot of talent,,,,and was a pivotal character in American Graffiti .
And played a good scene as a door gunner in More American Graffiti.

Here is a great interview with Bo at the Portland Roadster Show, it shows just how down to earth he really was. In AG, Bo and Paul, were perfect in their roles, no one could have done better. RIP Mr. Hopkins.

Hate to see that. I never had the privilege of meeting him but still a loss in the car scene that goes on in my head.
He had a big part, to me, in a story of one night in California cruising around and being young. That acting project, probably just a job at the time, has influenced many a gear head.

Met him in 2009 at the Sacramento Autorama Merc Gathering when I was showing my merc. He was there with the AG Merc clone and the owner of the clone. Talked to him and the owner of the clone quite awhile. Both of them were really nice guys. RIP Bo!Not my pic! Found it on the net.[IMG]

Bo was great guy and a terrific actor. Him, Steve McQueen and James Dean all had a similar persona that just exemplified cool.
