    Mickey Rooney in Big Wheel.

Hot Rods, Midgets, Roaring Roadsters and Big cars.

One of the most accurate car movies I have ever seen.

  14. Kind of a car movie, but my favorite is Smokey and the Bandit. Jackie Gleason was funnier than hell.

Blues brothers was a fantastic CAR movie and an all-time fav.
And for lack of plot but intense driving, that old movie (1971) Vanishing Point has some of the greatest adrenaline pumping scenes .... mmmm 440s

    "The Lively Set"

With James Darrin, Doug Mclure and Mickey Thompson, the Chrysler Turbine Car, Streamliners, Jet cars, early drag footage from Pomona and Bakersfield. Bonneville salt flats. Darrin's roadster is the ****! Mclure's bucket, The Surfarie's singing My Barracuda"...there is more cool stuff in this movie than I can name...it's a "must see" for you guys, and check out the bell hop that brings Mclure's food to his room....recognize him?

Don't forget Elvis Presley in "Loving You". I saw this late one night when I was probably 10 with my mom and I always wanted to see it again, I've asked at the video stores about renting it but always come up short. The A roadster was built by a guy named John Althen (sp?) and was featured in one of the hot rod books I once owned that disappeared.

I think this was from "Hot Rod Girl" wasn't it? It had Chuck Connors as the cop helping the hot rodders to set up a drag strip.

I was just going to say that!

Thats where I got my copy from.

Lots of footage of the roadster and the film itself is pretty good as well!

Not nec***arily a "car" movie, but has some nice cars in it. "Road Racer" Pretty damn funny and has some great music for soundtrack.
