    Great pics.

Chrome has a purpose besides appearance. It is easy to clean. ;)

This is the type motor I'm building right now...I also threw in a 283/270hp motor pic.

Look at corvette engine bay from the era.

I've always liked the idea or look that someone pulled a donor hi-po engine from wrecked car of the era and dropped in their hot rod.

Not sure if that fits your build plan, era looking speed parts are hit and miss. Valve cover and air cleaner would be the first swap items, intake / carb etc

  11. That is exactly my intention, where the guy got lucky enough to start with a dual quad SBC out of a '57, you hit the nail on the head!

New crate 350, somewhat rare 62’ valve covers, minor head port, Thumpr cam and stainless shim head gaskets. Actually had a 64’ 327 from a donor corvette back in 67’ installed in my 57’ Chevy bel air I bought for $162.00 and drove her home. 6 banger powerglide, had to go.

About as un-shiny as you can get.
